The weatherforecast was bad - and so was the weather. Low clouds, snowfall down to 800m. On Sunday, MadMikeKüng sent his whole retinue east on the same latidude and then tried to take off at Chiemgau to cross the Alps in spite of the difficult conditions.
Stefan Hörmann, our weatherman (www.gleitsegelwetter.de) tells us that a wedge of high pressure is on its way. so Mike gets on his way across the Alps...

Finally, the cloud cover has broken and you can actually see that the sun will come out soon. MadMikeKüng took off at 14:50 and tried to get as high as possible to jump from the helicopter. He is going to head for Göttingen. The direction of the wind is right but Mike has only got 5 hours until sunset.

Tuesday
Today conditions don't look too good. Because of thick fog Mike can't take off, but the weatherforecast says that the fog will have gone in a few hours. So Mike will be on his way to the south soon.
