2nd Bregenzerwald Cup –
The Season`s Start Event 2005

Schoppernau in the west of Austria presented itself from the best advantage. A fairyland in white. No snowstrorm as the weather forecast predicted. Instead of that blue sky and bright sunshine.

But it was cold. The quicksilver indicated icy 22 degrees below zero. A real paragliding pilot is not impressed by those minus temperatures. Regardless of this they flew. And the owners of heatable gloves were the absolute kings at this Cup.

Promotion flights, K.O.-speedrun, spotlanding competition, glider testival and flight shows. A three day`s rush in the air. And also the fair square was teeming with people. Examine the products. Talking shop. Drinking mulled wine. Meeting friends.

On Friday and Saturday MadMikeKüng precipitated several times into the ethereal turmoil to present his harmonic flight performance. Aerobattle in perfection, always finished with a ground spiral.

„It`s damned cold. But damned good!“ this was MadMike`s comment to the event on saturday night. „The organizer Jodok Moosbrugger and his team of the flight school Bregenzerwald did a real good job! Sadly I will miss the sunday. I have to leave now. The next event is waiting. Balloon jumps in Bavaria.“

But in two years MadMikeKüng will be back. Back to the 3rd Bregenzerwald Cup!
